Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Release Engineer to oversee the code merging and deployment process for our software releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of source control management and experience managing software releases in complex environments. The Release Manager will work closely with development, testing, and product management teams to ensure that software releases are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and maintain the release schedule for all software releases, coordinating with development, testing, and product management teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage the code merging and deployment process to ensure that software releases are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- Design and implement deployment pipelines and release automation tools to streamline the release process.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts to automate the release process.
- Ensure compliance with release management policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on release metrics, including release frequency, lead time, and defect rates.
- Continuously improve the release process to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, at least 1 year of experience in Coding/DevOps.
- Strong understanding of source control management.
- Experience managing software releases in complex environments.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions (GHA) and Kubernetes.
